Bio

Ravi Patel, MD, FACS, FICS is triple-board certified in general surgery, wound care and hyperbaric medicine with 30+ years of experience in vascular and general surgery. He earned his medical degree from Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda in India before embarking upon his internship and residency training in general surgery at Brooklyn Hospital in New York, where he completed his tenure as Chief Resident. He continued at Brooklyn Hospital for his advanced fellowship training in vascular surgery. He currently serves as Chief Medical Officer for the Florida Hospital West Region’s Wound Healing Institute and as Chief of Surgery at Florida Hospital Carollwood.

Dr. Patel is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, the International College of Surgeons, the American College of Certified Wound Specialists and the American Academy of Wound Management. He is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Wound Medicine and Surgery. His medical specialties include minimally invasive endovascular surgery, endoaneurysm grafting, laparoscopic surgery, hyperbaric medicine and advanced wound care. He is a noted researcher whose work has appeared in multiple peer-reviewed medical journals and who frequently provides invited presentations at international medical forums.
